When Will The Rapture Occur?

The Rapture  (excerpt from the 'Book Revelation In the Night')

I now present the last, but what I think is the best, bit of information on the subject regarding 'the dream'

'At that time, feeling trapped I became very frightened and concerned that the serpent in the room would eventually hunt me down and strike at me. Exiting the room via the door passage never entered my mind and did not seem to be a viable option.    Then, immediately following this perception of fear, my body began to levitate (rapture) to the top ceiling area of the room at the southeast corner.  I then looked down from the ceiling on the serpent and the woman, and awoke from the dream with much bewilderment.'

When faced with the inevitable deadly threat of being struck by the Python, I escaped through the power of Jesus Christ in His Rapture

"Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day." (John 6:54)

"Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." (Luke 21:36)

This Scripture is a plain reference of the 'rapture', which reveals that some will be escaping all the terrible events mentioned in Luke 21:25-28.  If this Scripture does not refer to the rapture, then how could those counted worthy go to stand before Jesus?  This ideal of the rapture is continued in John14:1-3 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18?

Throughout Scripture, the Jewish Feasts were and will be God’s prophetic ‘Time Clock’ for futuristic events, which began to unfold with the death of Yeshua Jesus at Calvary/Passover.

It is to this premise that I submit another essential component as to the governing of how these past and future events, occurring in relation to the Feasts, correlate with God’s eternal Covenant with Abraham.  Ever since Abraham’s Covenant with God Yahweh the order of prophetic events have been consistent with the following:

“But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: (Romans 2:10)

Whenever we analyze historical Biblical events we see that the ‘Good News Gospel’ of Yeshua came to the Jew ‘First’.

“But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24)

Yeshua Jesus became the ‘Firstfruit from the Dead’ and was immediately followed by some of the old Saints (Secondfruits), that arose an entered into the Holy City Jerusalem.

“And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.” (Matthew 27:53)

It must be noted that the term ‘Firstfruit’ implies within the word itself, there must be a secondfruit, thirdfruit, etc., hence the Saints that arose from the dead and entered Jerusalem...  Comparatively this concept is seen in the First Resurrection and the Second Resurrection.

However, in the mind of God it is imperative that His promised Covenant with Abraham is never violated.  According to Scripture, all of those who have ever risen as Yeshua Jesus from the dead, up to the present, have been Messianic Jews, hence, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.  Thus, the promise being kept, then the next event of ‘Fruits from the Dead’ can be generalized, both Jew and Gentile, and is evidenced at the blowing of the Seventh Trumpet in the Book of Revelation.

“And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” (Rev. 11:18)

Going forward, at the Feast of Pentecost in the ‘Upper Room’ the ‘Firstfruits of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit’ was according to God’s Covenant with Abraham and were again Messianic Jews, hence, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.  This event was/has been followed by many subsequent ‘Fruits of the Spirit Baptism’ of both Jew and Gentile alike, even until this present day.

To this end, herein lies a major mystery and concern.  According to Biblical Scripture, there has NEVER YET been a recorded ‘Rapture’ as revealed by Apostle Paul, hence, the ‘Firstfruits Caught Up’ (Changed - Raptured).

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Cor. 15:52)

Why would God now, regarding a Rapture, choose to violate His eternal Abrahamic Covenant - to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile?

Thus, we see in the Book of Revelation that the promise is kept in the ‘Woman’s (Israel’s 144,000 Messianic Jews) Manchild’ at the blowing of the 7th Trumpet in the Middle of Daniel’s 70th Week.

“And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered...    And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. (Rev. 12:2-5)

Who is this mysterious Jewish Manchild of 144,000 Messianic Jews born of a woman in the Middle of Daniel’s 70th Week?

“These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits [Jews] unto God and to the Lamb. (Rev. 14:4)

These 144,000 Messianic Jews referred to in the above Scripture are of the Male gender.  However, the term 'Virgins' used in this passage has nothing at all to do with their literal sexual activity.  The virginity of these 144,000 Messianic Jews is their purity from the pagan religious defiling influences of the 'Woman', (the Scarlet Harlot) Mystery Babylon and her harlot children.  Apostle Paul reveals the 'Virginity' of the Church in the same perspective.

"For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ." (2 Cor. 11:2)

Additionally, immediately following the description of the 144,000 Messianic Jews it is declared "...These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth."  Thus, the purity and virginity of these Jews is their having never bowed their knees to Mystery Babylon or any of her Harlot Children.

These are God’s ‘Reserved Remnant Messianic Jews of National Israel’ which are the ‘Firstfruits Caught Up’ in the Middle of Daniel’s 70th Week (to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile) and are shortly thereafter followed by the mixed group of second ‘Caught Up Fruits’ – both Jew and Gentile alike.  This concept of God reserving Jews unto Himself is seen in Yahweh’s response to the Prophet Elijah.

“Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.” (1 Kings 19:18)

Herein is a Great Truth, these 144,000 Messianic Jews are sealed at the ‘BEGINNING’ of the 7 year Tribulation period before the 7 Trumpets ever begin to blow.

“Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. (Rev. 7:3)

Therefore, it begs the question, if these 144,000 Messianic Jews are as ‘Pure’ as God Yahweh declares them to be at the BEGINNING of the 7-year Tribulation period, (and reading their characteristics they have been Pure Virgins), why were they not taken in the alleged Pre-Tribulation Rapture – hence, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile?

Continuing, with regard to the Tribulation ‘144,000 Messianic Jews’ as the Firstfruits of the Rapture of the Church, we must consider the following Scriptural evidence.

“I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. [2] God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, [3] Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. [4] But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. [5] Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.” (Romans 11:1-5)

From this passage, we see that God has always reserved to Himself a ‘remnant’ of faithful Jews.

“For if the firstfruit [Jews] be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. [17] And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree...” (Romans 11:16-17)

“And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.” (Romans 11:23)

“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.” (Romans 11:25)

One of the greatest misconceptions facing the Church today is the doctrine of ‘Replacement Theology’ – the Jews are totally broken off and the Gentiles have replaced them.  This theology has no regard for God's reserved remnant.

Therefore, as stated earlier, the order of prophetic events has always been as Apostle Paul revealed,

“But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:” (Romans 2:10)

Biblical history documents the following events in relation to the eternal Abrahamic Covenant:

The Messiah Jesus Christ – a Jew

The ‘Firstfruits’ to receive the Gospel of Salvation – Messianic Jews

The ‘Firstfruit(s) from the Dead – Messianic Jews

The ‘Firstfruits of the Church – Messianic Jews

The ‘Firstfruits of the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit  – Messianic Jews

Why would the order of the Firstfruits of the Rapture of the Church be any different?

Swiftly following the revelation of the man Antichrist, and as stated earlier, the general resurrection of the Dead in Christ, is the rapture of the '144,000 Firstfruit Messianic Jews' (Israel's Manchild), followed by the 'General Rapture' of both Jews and Gentiles (Church), marking the horrifying onset of the 'Great Tribulation'.  This event occurs in Biblical Scripture just as would be expected – following the sounding of the 7th Trumpet and the rapture of the 144,000 Messianic Jews.

"And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. [15] And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe [xeraino - withered]. [16] And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped." (Rev. 14:14-16)

Here we see the Son of Man, Yeshua Jesus, sitting on a white cloud with a golden crown ready to reap and shout for the rapture of His withered harvest (Church).  The Greek word for 'ripe' and its definition in the above Scripture is as follows:

xeraino, Greek 3583, Strong’s

xeraino, xay-rah'ee-no; from Greek 3584 (xeros); to desiccate; by implication to shrivel, to mature :- dry up, pine away, be ripe, wither (away).

It is worth noting, the Greek word 'xeraino' (dried up/withered) applied as a descriptive term for the condition of the latter day Church, is only used here (Rev. 14:15), throughout the entirety of the New Testament.  To this end, the concept of Christ coming to rapture a 'Withered' Church cannot be ignored according to what Apostle Paul had earlier prophesied regarding this coveted 'rapture' event.

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition..." (2 Thes. 2:3)

While as Christians, we may find the association between the term ‘withered’ and the latter day Church distasteful, Apostle Paul’s prophecy will nonetheless come true, and is being evidenced even today.  Therefore, when analyzing the above passage we see that Apostle Paul revealed that before the 'Day of Christ' could come, there would have to be two conditions met 1st a Falling Away (apostasia) of the Church, and 2nd the Man of Sin revealed (Antichrist).

Going forward, in the above Scripture (Rev. 14:15), we see that another angel comes out of the Temple of God in Heaven crying out to Son of Man (Yeshua Jesus)  that it is time for Him to 'Rapture His Withered Church'.

"And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. [withered]" (Rev. 14:15)

One then must ask the question, "Why will another angel come out of the Temple of God in Heaven at that moment and declare to Yeshua that it is time for Him to 'Rapture His Withered Church'?"  Jesus Himself gives us the answer when He was responding to a question asked by Peter, James, John and Andrew concerning His Coming.  In the following passage, Jesus reveals that no one other than the Father knows of the timing of this event.

"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father." (Mark 13:32)

For additional understanding about the rapture, we need to understand the last three fall feasts of ancient Israel.  The 'Seven Feasts' were given primarily to Israel by God with the Mosaic Law and were symbols of events that were to be fulfilled under a 'better covenant', which typified the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, as well as the Christian experience.

"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: [17] Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ." (Col. 2:16-17)

In addition, it must be stressed that these seven feasts have their fulfillment in the Jewish feastal calendar rather than in the Jewish civil calendar.  The first month of the feastal calendar was the month of Abib and the seventh month of this same calendar was Tishri.  However, the civil calendar was just the opposite.  Tishri was the beginning month and Abib was the seventh month.

The feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, and Firstfruits were all fulfilled by Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.  The Feast of Pentecost, which occurred fifty days later, prefigured the Holy Spirit's outpouring in Acts chapter 2.  Between these four feasts and the Feast of Trumpets was a long interval (four months) in which the harvest was gathered.  This period represents the Church age during which the body of Christ will be completed (Rom. 11:25).

The next three feasts after Pentecost are the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashana), Day of Atonement (Yom Kipper), and the Feast of Tabernacles (Succoth).  When the trumpet sounds the Church will be caught up (1 Thess. 4:16-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-52) and Israel will be regathered fulfilling the Feast of Trumpets.  However, the Feast of Trumpets has a clear correlation to the sounding of the 'Seventh Trumpet' (Rev. 11:15-18) in the middle of Daniel's 70th. Week, or at the marking of the onset of the 'Great Tribulation – last 3½ years of the seven-year Tribulation period.  The Day of Atonement for Israel will be fulfilled when, at the end of the seven-year Tribulation, Christ returns and Israel accepts Him as their Messiah.

It must be noted, the Feast of Trumpets was established by God to take place exactly at the rising of the New Moon on the first day of the month of Tishri.  As such, in order for the new month to begin, the Sanhedrin (highest Jewish Court) would have to declare 'Rosh Chodesh or Rosh Hashana, which literally means 'Head of the Month.'   The Talmud therefore refers to the process of declaring a New Moon as 'Sanctifying the New Moon.'

Rosh Hashana could only be declared, after two witnesses had come to the Sanhedrin, and testified that they had seen the New Moon (a little crescent of the moon beginning to show) during the previous night.  It was from this practice that all of the other dates of the annual Jewish feastal calendar were established.

Referring back to the sounding of the 'Seventh Trumpet' (Feast of Trumpets) we not only see the rapture of the church, but the unfortunate release of the fallen angel Artemis (New Moon goddess - Queen of Heaven - female expression/manifestation of the male Apollo/Apollyon) from the bottomless pit.  Now begins the wrath of God and Satan and the Great Tribulation.

"Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (Rev. 12:12)

In relation to the events of the last days of pagan Jerusalem (Mystery Babylon), under the demonic control of Apollyon/Artemis ('Queen of Heaven – Moon god/goddess') and the Antichrist, in correlation with the 'blowing of the Seven Trumpets', prophesied by John the Revelator, there is no greater example than the satanic practices of the ancient Biblical city of 'Jericho'.

According to Biblical scholars, the name Jericho is most likely derived from the Hebrew word 'Yerah', meaning Moon or month or New Moon.   Early inhabitants of Jericho in all likelihood worshiped the Moon god/goddess, whom they believed controlled the cycles of the moon and therefore the agricultural seasons.

In an additional comparison with Jerusalem, Jericho was the home of Rahab, a prostitute (harlot) who played a critical role in Joshua's conquest of the city.  According to Scripture, she occupied a house upon the city wall, where she gave lodging to the two spies sent into Jericho by Joshua on a reconnaissance mission.  She hid the spies under stalks of flax on the roof, and when questioned by the king’s soldiers concerning the two men she told them that they had already left the city.  For her part in helping the two spies to escape, Rahab was granted the promise that she and her family would be spared when Joshua's army attacked her city.

To this end, when Joshua stormed into Jericho, Rahab moved her entire family inside her house where she left a 'scarlet chord' hanging from her window, as had been agreed upon between her and the two spies, to signify to the Israelite soldiers that they were not to harm anyone inside the house.  Rahab and her family survived the destruction of Jericho, where she continued her life among the Israelites.

Herein lies a great symbolism, just as Rahab the harlot and all her family escaped the impending doom of the pagan Moon city of Jericho, by Joshua's army, through her faith in the 'Scarlet Cord', following the blowing of the 'Seventh Trumpet', such will be the case of God's Church.  They also shall escape (rapture) the destroying wrath (Great Tribulation) of God, Satan, Apollyon and the Antichrist, upon the earth and Mystery Babylon (fallen Jerusalem) through their faith in the 'Scarlet Cord'- the shed blood of Yeshua Jesus, following the blowing of the 'Seventh Trumpet'.

Regarding the destruction of Jericho Scripture records Joshua was commanded by God that,

"...seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. [5] And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast [the seventh blast] with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him." (Joshua 6:4-5)

This perfectly describes the events associated with the blowing of the 'Seventh Trumpet' in the Book of Revelation.

"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets." (Rev. 10:7)

"And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever." (Rev. 11:15)

"And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; [rapture] and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth." (Rev. 11:18)

Following the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet in the middle of Daniel's 70th. Week, Satan and his angels will be cast out of Heaven, and the Woman (Israel) will bring forth the 'man-child' (144,000 – first Jewish fruits of the rapture of Church, Rev. 14:4).

"And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: [27] And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father." (Rev. 2:26-27)

Israel will then flee from Satan under God's protection into the wilderness where she will be supported and remain for 3½ years, Rev. 12.  Thus marking the beginning of the time of 'Great Wrath or Great Tribulation', poured out from both God (Seven Vial Judgments) and Satan upon the inhabitants of earth, especially the capital of Apollyon and the Antichrist - Mystery Babylon (fallen Jerusalem).

"And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:" (Rev. 6:16)

"Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (Rev. 12:12)

Just as Joshua under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God cursed the city of Jericho and anyone who would ever rebuild it, so shall 'Mystery Babylon' (Unholy Jerusalem) be cursed by God to never rise again in her fallen pagan condition.

"And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the Lord, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it." (Joshua 6:26)

"Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. [21] And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all... And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth." (Rev. 18:20-21, 24)

Joshua declared that the man who would rebuild Jericho would lose his firstborn when the foundation was laid and he would lose his younger son when he set up the gates.  In addition, the Hebrew word for 'adjured', shaba, means,

to be complete; to 'seven' oneself (that is, swear by repeating a declaration seven times); adjure; charge by an oath; take an oath (Joshua 6:26; 1 Kings 22:16; 2 Chron. 18:15). Joshua imposed a solemn oath—binding to both his people and their posterity—that they would never rebuild Jericho. It was to be an eternal monument of God's abhorrence of idolatry.

It cannot be overstated, that the sounding of a 'Trumpet ' throughout the history of Israel was God's prescribed method of calling His people together and, "Warning them of impending danger - hence, the Seven Trumpets of Revelation prior to the advent of God's and Satan's wrath - year Great Tribulation."

Just as the 'two witnesses' on the Feast of Trumpets would proclaim to the Sanhedrin that they had seen a new moon rising, so will the 'Two Witnesses' of God soon declare that a 'New Moon' (Beast Out of the Abyss) has risen over fallen Jerusalem (spiritual New Moon City – Mystery Babylon).

Meanwhile, between the Feast of Trumpets and the Feast of Atonement is a period of 10 days, which to the Jewish people is deemed the 'days of Awe'.  It is during this time one is to prepare for the final judgment of God on the cleansing Day of Atonement.  We see this 10-day scenario in Rev. 2:8-11 where Apostle John writes:

"And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write;... [10] Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life..."

There were only two out of the seven Churches mentioned by John in the Book of Revelation that were without fault – Smyrna and Philadelphia.

"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write;... [10] Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth... " (Rev. 3:7-13)

From this it can be suggested, that Smyrna typifies believers during the Great Tribulation and Philadelphia is synonymous with believers during the Church age leading up to the rapture.

The final Feast of Tabernacles will occur during the millennial reign of Christ when God literally comes to earth to 'Tabernacle among his people'.

"And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory." (Exodus 29:43)

"And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God." (Exodus 29:45)

In addition, when we look at the concept of the ‘middle of a week’, we find that God created the Moon, etc. on the ‘fourth day of the week’.  The fourth day of course being the median day between one and seven,

“And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also... And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.” (Genesis 1:16-19)

Continuing, we find that Jesus who truthfully proclaimed Himself to be the resurrection (John 11:25), purposely waited until Lazarus died, and then raised him to life again on the ‘fourth day’ marking the middle of Lazarus’ first week of death.

“Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.” (John 11:39)

Moreover, God made the lights in heaven for signs (no doubt signifying both good and bad) and seasons.  Hence, the rising of the New Moon on the Feast of Trumpets in the middle of Daniel's 70th. Week will signal the release of the Moon god/goddess Apollyon from the Abyss and herald the resurrection/rapture of the dead in Christ.

If what I have seen in the dream and revealed in this little book is true, the coming of our Lord is close at hand.  However, my rapture did not occur until I had seen the woman call the Beast out of the bottomless pit.  So what does this mean?  Contrary to popular opinion, There will not be a rapture at the beginning of the 'Seven Year Tribulation' known as the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, but just moments after the revelation of the Antichrist and the Beast Queen Out of the Abyss, marking the beginning of the 'Great Tribulation'.

"For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ..." (1 Thessalonians 5:9)

In the book of II Thessalonians, we find that while the Church is a great restrainer of the coming Antichrist the absolute restrainer is God through His Holy Spirit.  However, the 'Spirit of Iniquity', which was already at work during Paul's day was and has been eating away continually at the Church like a cancer.

"For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way." (2 Thes. 2:7)

Apostle John testified to this same lawless spirit, when he declared,

"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." (1 John 4:3)

Apostle Paul revealed that the 'Day of Christ' would not come without the fulfillment of two conditions,

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;" (2 Thes. 2:3)

Therefore, there must be an apostasy of the Church and the revelation of the man Antichrist before the rapture of the Body of Christ.  It only stands to reason, as the cancer of Church apostasy grows greater the restraining power of the Church grows weaker.  Fewer believers can only mean fewer temples for the Holy Spirit to dwell within and war through.  Thus, at a predetermined point of Church weakness the Antichrist will emerge on the scene in Jerusalem and shortly thereafter the Body of Christ will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.  This will occur at the blowing of the Seventh Trumpet (Rev. 11:18) marking the beginning of the last 3½ years of Tribulation, better known as the Great Tribulation.

The Greek text for II Thessalonians 2:6-7 reads as follows,

6kai <2532> {AND} nun <3568> {NOW} to <3588> {THE} katecon <2722> (5723) {RESTRAINED} oidate <1492> (5758) {KNOWN,} eiV <1519> to <3588> {FOR} apokalufqhnai <601> (5683) {TO BE REVEALED} auton <846> {HIM} en <1722> {IN} tw <3588> eautou <1438> {HIS OWN} kairw <2540> {TIME.}

7to <3588> gar <1063> {FOR THE} musthrion <3466> {MYSTERY} hdh <2235> {ALREADY} energeitai <1754> (5731) thV <3588> {WORKS} anomiaV <458> {OF LAWLESSNESS;} monon <3440> {ONLY]} o <3588> {HE IS} katecwn <2722> (5723) {RESTRAINED} arti <737> {AT PRESENT} ewV <2193> {UNTIL} ek <1537> {OUT OF]} mesou <3319> {MIDST} genhtai <1096> (5638) {ARISES,}

The above Scripture is intended to reveal the Church continuing its restraint of the Antichrist until through its 'Apostasy' it becomes weakened.  The word 'taken', Greek 'ginomai', is not to be understood in any way as 'caught up or snatched out' but rather to  'come into existence, arise, come forth, etc.  In addition, the word 'way', Greek 'mesos' is intended to be 'midst or middle'.  We thus have the following,

"And now the restrained known, for him to be revealed in his own time.  For the mystery already works of lawlessness; only he is restrained at present until out of midst arises."

Regarding the doctrine of a 'Pre-Tribulation Rapture' I submit the following.  I am going to forgo all the peripheral Scriptures of analogical illusions and figurative parallels to the Rapture and go straight to critical passages regarding the foundation principals for the ‘Pre-Tribulation’ Rapture.  In 2 Thessalonians we read,

“[3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition... (2 Thes. 2:3)

To this end, I will use the Greek texts as a basis for analysis.

 2 Thessalonians 2:3 | mh <3361> {NOT} tiV <5100> {ANYONE} umaV <5209> {YOU} exapathsh <1818> (5661) {SHOULD DECEIVE} kata <2596> {IN} mhdena <3367> {ANY} tropon <5158> {WAY,} oti <3754> {BECAUSE [IT WILL NOT BE]} ean <1437> mh <3361> {UNLESS} elqh <2064> (5632) {SHALL HAVE COME} h <3588> {THE} apostasia <646> {APOSTASY} prwton <4412> {FIRST,} kai <2532> {AND} apokalufqh <601> (5686) {SHALL HAVE BEEN REVEALED} o <3588> {THE} anqrwpoV <444> thV <3588> {MAN} amartiaV <266> {OF SIN,} o <3588> {THE} uioV <5207> thV <3588> {SON} apwleiaV <684> {OF PERDITION,}

...Not anyone you should deceive in any way, because unless shall have come the apostasy first, and shall have been revealed the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition.

Please note that in the above Greek Scriptures all words in brackets [  ] have been added by translators for Greek to English transliteration clarity so I have highlighted them in blue.

As stated earlier, according to Apostle Paul, there are two conditions, not three, that must be met before the ‘Day of Christ’ (Rapture) can come.  In addition, the little conjoining word ‘and’ must be considered which links the two prophetic conditions together.

1st – There must come an {THE} apostasia
        ‘and’ -
Strong's Number: 2532 - Pronunciation: kai kahee - Definition: 1) and, also, even, indeed, but
2nd – The Man of Sin (Antichrist) must be revealed

Using Strong’s Greek Lexicon we find the following word definitions for Apostasia and Ginomai:

αποστασια      Strong's Number: 646
Pronunciation: apostasia   ap-os-tas-ee'-ah
Total Occurrences: 2
KJV Word Usage: to forsake (1) + 575 , falling away (1)
feminine of the same as 647 ; TDNT-1:513,88; n f

Definition:
1) feminine of the same as apostasion - apostasion 647; defection from truth (properly, the state) ("apostasy"):--falling away, forsake.

The Greek word ‘Apostasion’ is defined as a - neuter of a (presumed) adjective from a derivative of afisthmi - aphistemi 868; properly, something separative, i.e. (specially) divorce:--(writing of) divorcement.

For myself, when I thoroughly researched the Greek word Apostasia I found that nowhere in any dictionary does this word ever imply a positive connotation, but rather a negative.  There is no mention at all in any derivation that remotely suggest this word could have a truncated joyous positive ‘departure’ meaning, such that could support a claim of a translation and transformation of physical bodies, souls and spirits from one world to another, hence, Rapture.  This has to do with a defection from a mental ideology.

How can we as faithful students of the Bible look at the above word definitions, as well as the context of the word itself, and ever arrive at a celebrated positive definition of departure for this word.  The word actually shows and means a Defection as a negative form of departure.  The word is derived from the Greek word Apostasion, denoting ‘Divorce’, and clearly reveals another negative connation.

The transliterated English word ‘Depart’ is used no less than 38 times throughout the New Testament, and in no single circumstance, is the word ever deployed as the Greek word ApostasiaIn addition, the transliterated English word ‘Departing’ is used six times in the New Testament, and once again, not a single occurrence as Apostasia.

Therefore, the final summation regarding this Greek word shows a clear defection from what was once believed.  However, sadly it has been totally redefined as an unprecedented positive departing from the earth (rapture)– forced to fit a misguided doctrinal translation.  If we are going to change the historically established definitions of the Greek words, written in the NT without even supporting context, just to fit a supposition then where does it stop?

The Greek word Apostasia occurs only twice throughout the NT (2 Thes. 2:3; Acts 21:21) and in both cases it means defection from an ideology in a negative connation and never a positive catching away or a rapture of human beings.

Turning now to the Greek word ‘Ginomai’ that is implied to be ‘taken out’ or ‘gone’ we see the following word definitions.

γινομαι      Strong's Number: 1096
Pronunciation: ginomai    ghin'-om-ahee
Total Occurrences: 678
KJV Word Usage: be (255) , come to pass (82) , be made (69) , be done (63) , come (52) , become (47) , God forbid (15) + 3361 , arise (13) , have (5) , be fulfilled (3) , be married to (3) , be preferred (3) , not tr (14) , misc (4) , vr done (2)

a prolongation and middle voice form of a primary verb; TDNT-1:681,117; v

Definition:
1) to become, i.e. to come into existence, begin to be, receive being
2) to become, i.e. to come to pass, happen
2a) of events
3) to arise, appear in history, come upon the stage
3a) of men appearing in public
4) to be made, finished
4a) of miracles, to be performed, wrought
5) to become, be made

What is clearly implied in the above definitions for the Greek word ginomai’, is something that is about to come into being, or existence.  Therefore, a careful reading of the text reveals Apostle Paul was prophesying to the Thessalonians that ‘The Apostasy’ that was occurring even in their day would continue, and grow worse the closer the revelation of the Antichrist became.

Thus, the absolute ‘restrainer’ (Holy Spirit) will continue to restrain the mysterious lawlessness through the Church even up to the appointed time when, 'Out of the Midst between the warring factions of the Church/Holy Spirit and the Mystery of Iniquity, the Antichrist will come forth (arise).'

Therefore, a paraphrased reading would be, “The Holy Spirit who now restrains iniquity will continue His restraint through the Body of Christ up until the appointed time, when out of the midst the Antichrist will appear.”

Clearly, the above Greek word ‘ginomai’ has nothing to denote regarding a joyous ‘departure or leaving’ of some entity, but rather the negative emergence or coming into existence of something or someone, resulting from the weakness Apostasia of the restraining force.  Notice the old Greek text below and note what has been added to ‘He Be’ (come into existence),

...{UNTIL} ek <1537> {OUT OF [THE]} mesou <3319> {MIDST} genhtai <1096> (5638) {HE BE [GONE],}

We must remember that the men who transliterated the KJV Bible, as well as other Bibles, from the Greek Manuscripts were fallible natural men just as you and I.  While the definitions of the Greek words are historically well documented and established it is incumbent upon the reader/translator to choose from among a list of alternate meanings of a particular word usage, based on its contextual use, what proper definition should apply.  We as humans cannot help but to project our own belief systems into transliterations.

Therefore, as avid Bible students we are not to just blindly accept what these men have written.  We are commanded to search the Scriptures for the Truth.  However, when translating texts we cannot exceed predefined literal limits or everything is spiritualized away and nothing thereafter has foundation or meaning.

For example, with each new update to the Jay P. Green, Sr. Interlinear Bible you find many new definitions are applied to existing Hebrew/Greek words.  However, these definitions come from within the authorized pool of prescribed alternate word meanings.  There are no new definition derivations.

Returning to the two conditions that Apostle Paul said must be met before the Day of Christ (Rapture) we now explore the second – the revealing of the Man of Sin (Antichrist).  Biblical Scripture is clear that the Antichrist is NOT revealed to the Jewish people until he captures Jerusalem and enters into their much beloved Temple of God, declaring himself to be God.  This does not occur until the middle of Daniel’s 70th Week.

In summary, please allow me to elaborate just a bit further regarding my concerns for the doctrine of an ‘Imminent Pre-Trib Rapture’

I am suggesting that the doctrine of ‘Imminent Return’ and a ‘Pre-Trib Rapture’ go hand and hand.  However, I am in NO way implying that there will not be a Rapture, only that the backbone of the Pre-Trib supporters is woven to the belief that Jesus can come to get His Church at any given moment, hence Imminent.

Therefore, if this doctrine is valid for us today then it had to be equally valid for the early Church.  Jesus Himself declared that the Kingdom of God is comparable to a ‘mustard seed’.

“Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? [19] It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.” (Luke 13:18-19)

To this end, Jesus revealed that the Church (mustard seed) would grow into a ‘Great Tree’.  This being the case, if the return of Jesus was then and is now ‘Imminent’ as those who hold to the Imminent Pre-Trib view suggest, then if Jesus would have returned to get His Church immediately following His ascension to the throne of God or even at Pentecost etc., when was the prophecy of the ‘Great Tree’ to be fulfilled?

In addition, Jesus declared to His Disciples NOT to expect His Imminent Return:

"And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading." (Luke 19:11-15)

"While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept... After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them." (Matthew 25:5, 19)

The early Church knew that they must take the Gospel to the world before Jesus Returned.

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

Christians in Thessalonica erred when assuming the Return of Christ was Imminent.

"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?" (2 Thessalonians 2:1-5)

The doctrine of the Pre-Trib Rapture of the Church cannot be valid for only the last three or four generations, but had to reach all the way back to the first Christian born into the Kingdom of God.  If this doctrine of an Imminent Pre-Trib Rapture be true then the infant Church (mustard seed), just as we today, had to be looking for the ‘Immediate’ return of Jesus irrespective of any prophecies yet to be fulfilled.

Even today, most all Biblical scholars who support an Imminent Pre-Trib Rapture admit that the ‘signs’ (prophecies) of the Second Coming have only manifested themselves in the last 60 years – Israel became a nation, weapons of mass destruction, mass apostasy, global economy, etc.

I in no way dispute the fact that the Rapture will occur and that it will come at an hour and a day that no man expects, but we as Christians are to be alert and watch for the prophetic season.
