Ezekiel 17:22-24
"Thus saith the LORD God; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar,
and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will
plant it upon an high mountain and eminent: In the mountain of the height of Israel
will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar:
and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof
shall they dwell. And all the trees of the field shall know that I the
LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree,
and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it."

the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge, [26]
Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the
son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Juda,
[27] Which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of
Rhesa, which was the son of Zorobabel, which was the son of Salathiel, which
was the son of Neri, [28] Which was the son of Melchi,
which was the son of Addi, which was the son of Cosam, which was the son of
Elmodam, which was the son of Er, [29] Which was the
son of Jose, which was the son of Eliezer, which was the son of Jorim, which
was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, [30]
Which was the son of Simeon, which was the son of Juda, which was the son of
Joseph, which was the son of Jonan, which was the son of Eliakim,

"[22] Thus saith the L-rd GOD:
Moreover I will take, even I, of the lofty top of the cedar, and will set
it; I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and I
will plant it upon a high mountain and eminent; [23]
in the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it; and it shall bring
forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a stately cedar; and under it shall
dwell all fowl of every wing, in the shadow of the branches thereof shall
they dwell. [24] And all the trees of the field shall
know that I HaShem have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low
tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish;
I HaShem have spoken and have done it." |
