Book of Genesis |
||
The Book of Genesis was written by Moses either while he was a sheep-herder with Jethro, or at Sinai as an introduction to the law - about 1688 B.C. It was intended to reveal to man the origin of the heavens and the earth and all things therein. It declares God as the personal Creator while showing that nothing was evolved through the billions of years of earth's existence. It graphically records the fall and curse of Adam and Eve resulting in the destruction of the earth by water due to man's rebellion against God. The book reveals mankind's sinful behavior toward God for some 2,391 years as a prelude to the Mosaic Law. | ||
